Named after India's first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JLNMC) in Ajmer was established in 1965 by the Government of Rajasthan. Since its inception, the college has been a beacon of medical education and healthcare services in the region.
Our institution is affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). We offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD/MS), and super-specialty medical programs.
The attached J.L.N. Hospital is a 1200-bed tertiary care facility that serves over 500,000 patients annually from across Rajasthan and neighboring states. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technology, including MRI, CT scan, Cath Lab, and advanced surgical suites.
Our faculty comprises over 350 highly qualified doctors and researchers, many of whom are nationally and internationally recognized in their respective fields. The college has produced thousands of medical professionals who now serve across India and around the world.

Our 5.5-year MBBS program (including internship) admits 150 students annually through NEET-UG. The curriculum follows NMC guidelines with early clinical exposure and community orientation.
We offer 25 different MD/MS specializations with 120 total seats. Programs include rigorous clinical training, research methodology, and teaching experience over 3 years.
Advanced training in 8 super-specialties including Cardiology, Neurology, and Surgical Oncology. These 3-year programs focus on sub-specialized clinical expertise and research.
Transparent and merit-based admission procedures
Admissions to all courses at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College are conducted through national entrance examinations as per Government of India and State Government regulations.
Admission through NEET-UG conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 85% seats filled through All India Quota and 15% through State Quota. Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in PCB at 10+2 level.
Admission through NEET-PG conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). 50% seats reserved for in-service candidates of Rajasthan. Eligibility: MBBS degree with completion of internship.
Admission through NEET-SS conducted by NBE. Eligibility: Relevant MD/MS degree from recognized university. Selection based on merit and counseling.
